Founded in 2021 by Parisian Ariane Leondaridis and Australian Katia Kelso, both of Greek heritage, they first discovered their shared passions when they worked together as Design Director and Production Director at Ulla Johnson in New York.
At Ilio Nema they value unique craftsmanship. Hand-crafted practices are at the forefront of all that they do.
In working with artisan communities they support rural development, stimulate employment where opportunities are lacking and sustain production circles that are in proximity to farmer producers. Ilio Nema helps artisans to keep their skills alive, keep families together and keep knowledgeable elders engaged in community life.
