Maman x Women's Refuge | The Gift of Giving Back
While many of us have faced significant challenges over the last 12 months, one group of women will always remember 2024 for an entirely different reason.
Every year, women from around Auckland rely on Women’s Refuge to provide shelter and support as they escape from domestic abuse and every year this incredible organisation works tirelessly to help those women and their children fleeing terror at home.
That’s why Maman has partnered for the fifth year in a row with Women’s Refuge to bring a little extra joy into the lives of women and children who have bravely started new lives away from abusive homes.
We call this ‘The Gift of Giving Back’ because we recognise that many in our community share our passion for giving back – especially during the festive season.
From now through to 18th December, we will be accepting beautiful gift-wrapped wishlist donations to put under the Christmas wreath in-store.
On the 18th December these gifts will be hand delivered by our co-founders Kate and Emma to the refuge for their Annual Women's Refuge Christmas Party, where Santa will make a special appearance handing out these gifts to children and families, helping bring some Christmas joy.
Every year since we started this initiative we are utterly blown away with the support from our customers, local businesses and community. We say a massive THANK YOU for all your donations in previous years, and we hope you can assist again this year.
