KATE AND EMMA'S

Style inspiration from our co-founders Kate and Emma. From street style to runway previews and new season buying, this is what you need to know for the coming season.

French trend forecasting brings a refreshing mix of playful nostalgia and chic minimalism.

Leopard print proves it's more than a passing fancy it's a timeless staple prowling its way through every wardrobe.

Bandanna prints are back, infusing a carefree, bohemian energy into everything from scarves to dresses.

On the streets of Paris, Birkenstock clogs are redefining comfort with a stylish twist, while culottes offer that breezy silhouette we’re all craving.

Minimal makeup paired with delicate jewellery whispers effortless elegance, the kind the French do best.

Accessories take center stage: bucket bags are a must-have, caps with charming phrases (like this one from Clare V) add a touch of whimsy, and embellished socks peek out from every fashionable shoe like our range from Maria La Rosa.

Eyewear is anything but shy, think coloured lenses and thick frames that make a bold statement. The Banks from Luv Lou are exactly what you need.

And for the home? It’s all about quirky details like fruit and vegetable candles from Nonna's Grocer, bringing the marché to your mantel.

This season, embrace a look that’s equal parts refined and playful. Vive la mode!

French Etiquette:

French etiquette is all about elegance in understatement. Everything appears effortlessly chic never try-hard, never loud.

Bright colours? Only for the bold influencers strutting through the Marais. True Parisian style leans neutral, refined, and practical: think longer-line denim paired with classic loafers or boots.

You won’t see short denim shorts, nor will you see people glued to their phones except underground on the metro. Life above is lived en présent: people talk, they laugh (softly), they connect. Volume is never turned up too high, and neither are tempers.

Baguettes are casually nibbled on the go, but dinner is lighter, later, and never rushed reservations don’t even begin until 7pm. While many Parisians speak English, a warm BonjourMerci, or Au Revoir goes a long way.

And when the summer heat hits? A chic purse-sized Evian spray bottle is the discreet way to stay cool. Bikes glide silently through the streets, ridden by people as poised as they are polite.

In France, etiquette isn’t a rulebook, it’s a rhythm. And once you feel it, you’ll never want to leave.
