Denim regeneration initiative

MAMAN X IMPACTEX

This June, for the second year running, Maman has partnered with ImpacTex for our Denim Month community initiative.

CLOSING THE LOOP

At Maman, we believe that fashion should not only look good, it should do good. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our second collaboration with ImpacTex, a pioneering New Zealand organisation in circular fashion. Together, we’re launching a community-focused initiative to give old denim a new lease on life.

Your Denim, Reimagined

Denim is a wardrobe staple, but it’s also one of the most resource-heavy fabrics in the fashion industry. Instead of letting worn-out jeans or forgotten jackets collect dust or end up in landfill, we’re inviting our community to bring them to us during Denim Month.

For the month of June, you’ll find a our Maman x ImpacTex Denim Bin in our Remuera boutique. Simply drop off your pre-loved or unwanted denim (regardless of condition) and we’ll take care of the rest.

ImpacTex will collect and regenerate these pieces into new, innovative textiles, reducing waste and supporting a more sustainable future.

Nothing wasted. Everything reimagined.

WHY IT MATTERS

This initiative is about more than recycling, it’s about closing the loop. Circular fashion is a vital step towards addressing the environmental challenges our industry faces. By collaborating with ImpacTex, we’re aligning with a vision that values longevity, regeneration, and responsibility.

HOW YOU CAN TAKE PART

Bring in any denim item (jeans, skirts, jackets).
Place them in the Denim Bin located in our Remuera store.
Let us take care of the rest.

Know that your contribution supports a cycle of creativity
and care.

This project is part of Maman's ongoing commitment to sustainability and mindful fashion. We’re proud to be part of a movement that turns what once was waste into opportunity.

Let’s make fashion circular—together.
